| I made my first post! ![]() | I have the same exact problem. I've even done a hard reset twice now and within 15 minutes the freaking battery goes from 100% to 95%. I'm so p*** with this thing and palm also. They didn't even bother to reply to my first e-mail. On the second one all they did was send me to their help page. I would advise folks to stay away from the Treo 680 untill the next hardware edition. |

| I made my first post! ![]() | I have had the same problems with the gibberish appearing at the left hand corner of the screen. After receiving the 3rd Treo 680, Cingular replaced my SIM card. That didn't do anything so they kept me on the line while Tech Support pointed me toward another tower. Guess what, the gibberish has not reappeared. I haven't had to reboot the phone for about 3 weeks now. As far as the limited battery life, I finally bought the extended battery from Seidio online and the new battery is working like a charm. I charged it for 11 1/2 hours last night, unplugged it @ 6:00 a.m. and it is now 3:27 p.m. and the battery level is as 96%. I guess the real solution to the low battery life is to buy the extended battery. I really like the phone and am glad I don't have to exchange it for a blackberry. |

![]() | Over 100% !!! Now for a new strange thing. I drained the 680 last night till dead. Then plugged in the charger, removed the battery, waited, removed the sim, waited, replaced the sim, waited, replaced the battery, and let it sit for 8 hours. I had turned the phone off before it died last night. Got up this morning, unplugged it, and it was fully charged. The battery.prc program though showed an estimated capacity of 1190 mAh but the charge was registering 1240mAh. I was above 100%! The meter only showed 99.99% but stayed that way for 30 minutes or so until the actual charge fell below the estimated charge. I bet this causes some of the wrong meter readings. So I did a soft reset and after the battery.prc program showed an estimated charge of 1245mAh. That seems more normal to me. Yokie |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Your doing two things. Properly conditioning the battery, and resetting the way the Treo sees the charge level. If you haven't tried any of these tips, you'll notice that you can run your 680 for quite some time with the charge at 0%.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | The battery will work too. Its just to big for the cover. If you have an extended cover, give it a try and let us know.
