Very common. Also common for battery to get warm is you're on a long call, etc.

treo musketeers- I bought one of those extended 2400mah batteries, it came charged up is there a quicker way of discharging. Currently I've got it on silent mode, but playing a movie in tcpmp. And amazingly this is the third time it has played since 35%. Which is the percentage I started to earnestly try to discharge the battery.

Also on device chargers is there also a discharge button? Thinking about getting one of those but unsure if that might damage the battery.

Not sure if there are any battery chargers for Palm phones, out there that speed up discharge. As you can't really recondition the battery, it makes rapid discharge generally a moot issue. I would've recommended that you watch a movie or something else that is a energy hog, but you're already doing that. Not sure why you want to run the battery down, but keep doing what you're doing and eventually the battery will die.

Well, it is new and came charged so I wanted to discharge it and recharge it fully.
Yup eventually it did discharge and if this battery continues to be that stable I'm going to really like it! the 1200mah just wasn't enough power for one day, and that was with the phone mostly off and bluetooth off.
