| I made my first post! ![]() | Weird SMS outbound messages issue! Hi there. I had an unlocked 650 for a long time with little to no issues and recently upgraded to an unlocked 680, all on Cingular. Hotsync'd everything over to the new Treo, and all is in perfect working order except my SMS. I can RECEIVE them, but I cannot send them. I don't receive an error message...they never reach their destination. Anyone else have a similar problem or can think of a solution to this? ...Please do tell! Many thanks in advance. |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | I am also having problems with SMS. The messages arrive, but when I click on the "go to" icon, I see a blank screen that just sits there - no message. I can escape to another application, so the phone is not hung. If I receive multiple text messages, I see a window with a note that I have multiple messages, and when I choose the "view" icon, the Messaging app launches, but there are no messages. Are these messages going to the SIM and is there a way to redirect them? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sounds like a carrier settings issue. Might want to talk to your provider and make sure all your inbound/outbound sms settings are right.

![]() | I have an unlocked 680 with Cingular. I didn't do anything special and SMS seems to work fine. In the Network preferences I just picked automatic network configuration. I think that gets pulled from the cingular network when you connect. With my old phone I sometimes had problems where I would stop getting messages for a while. If I turned the phone off and back on after a few minutes I would get all the old ones. I would try setting yours to automatic if it's not already and then do a soft reset (pull the battery). Another thing it could be is maybe you weren't connected to a cingular tower when it tried to pull that info. Go somewhere you know there's a cingular tower and do a soft reset there. Turning the "phone" on and off might just work too, but I'd soft reset just to make sure. |
