| A Few Questions.... ![]() | shocked by 680 battery life I just switched from a corporate blackberry to my own 680. I'm having a real hard time with the limited battery life I'm getting out of this treo. With the BB i could leave it off the charger for up to three days before the battery drained. I charged the treo 680 all night last night. went to work today and used the phone sparlingly, lot's of emails and SMSs but on my ride home I had a low battery warning. That's not even 16 hours out of a full charge ON A LIGHT DAY. Are there alternative batteries that can be purchased for the 680. I need help. Billmac |

| Junior Member ![]() | I have been reading numerous threads about this issue here and at other Treo sites. There are options that you can set to minimize the power loss. And it seems that the battery life stabilizes somewhat after a few deep charging cycles. Also, there is information that Seidio is going to release a battery upgrade as some point. |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | I agree. I had a 650 and the battery would last a couple days without charge and that was with everything on - phone, Goodlink, and Bluetooth. With the 680, I can't even get through a normal workday without a charge. I've turned off Bluetooth and that seems to help. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Two points, firstly people have found the battery life does improve after a few charge/discharge cycles. Secondly the battery in the 680 and 750v is only 1200mAh so it will never last as long as the 1800mAh fitted to the 650. The newer phones may use more energy efficient parts but it's still not enough to compensate for the 33% less battery capacity.

![]() ![]() | Couple of posts that may be of interest for you: http://blog.treonauts.com/2006/12/treo_680_batter.html http://blog.treonauts.com/2006/12/treo_ultra_exte.html There's going to be some 680 battery compartment case mods out soon that will allow you to use to a higher capacity batt in a 680 at the expense of a thicker old skool form factor. ~ Steph
