![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Ok, I got to use the new streaming video plugin in Blazer, which is powered by Kinoma, for the first time. I tried it out on the new Transformers movie trailer on the Yahoo! Movies site. I'll have to say that, at least at this point, I'm not impressed. I went to play the trailer, and watched excitedly as it launched the video player. Goosebumps began to form as the page began to buffer. Then bam, an "Insufficient Bandwith" notice came up. It started to buffer again shortly after that, but once the video began it was very grainy. The audio streamed very well, but the video was like watching a slide show. Every few seconds a new image would appear, but the corresponding audio was way past that point. I hope that this just happed to be a heavy stream, or I'm in a crappy spot (at work). I'll be very dissapointed if this is what I can look forward to in "streaming video".

![]() ![]() | Intresting. I bet it's because the streaming video is designed for a higher res display. If they had a special 320 x X size video it would stream fine I'm sure (since it's smaller) and probably not cause the Kinoma plugin to software resize each frame - something - I might add - which the Core player does very very efficiently - I'm guessing there's an Amiga or ST programmer there. Have you tried with smaller media? I have no idea where you'd go ... maybe iFilm or somehwere. ~ Steph

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I have the Kinoma player. Something that I do is I hit the "pause" until sufficient buffer has been downloaded. Then the video plays pretty good. I went to Youtube using Kinoma and downloaded the Wierd Al "White and Nerdy" video. No problems using it. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well I'm glad everyone else has had much better luck. I'm thinking it was the Yahoo! site since the trailer loads and runs crappy even on my pc. I haven't really tried any other sites yet (been busy) but I'm looking forward to trying out these suggestions!
