Phone app - *don't* want xtra #'s in phone field dialed

I've looked everywhere, but can't find the answer.

I've switched to using the standard Palm phone app, for various reasons, but now I have a problem.

In some of the phone # fields, I have descriptors, like this:
919-123-4567 (22nd floor)

But when I dial this number, the dialed number is: 919-123-4567-22, which gets me a "Wrong number" message from my carrier (TMob).

Is there some delimiter to tell the phone app to ignore any characters after the phone number?

Why don't you put the descriptors in letter format such as (twenty second floor) OR put the descriptors in another field.
