Treo 650 or Treo 680 - Treo Forum

THere has been a reduction of the TREO 650 prices (AUS $499) while the Treo 680 will be at Aus $799.

WHich model would you go for?

Benefits of the TREO 650 - long talk/standby time ie. good battery, cheaper !

Benefits of the TREO 680 - no anteanne, SD card from the side, more memory.

Bad thing about Treo 650 - less memory compared to TREO 680, annoying anteanne prone to breakage, lots of feedback on how unstable and how bad the speaker and microphone is.

Bad thing about the TREO 680 - less talk/standby time (lower capacity battery) and much more expensive.

I have the 700p myself, but there is one thing I have learned about cellphones. IF you buy the cheap one, then you will be buying outdated material. I would just fork out the extra dough and have the newest technology available.

Can't you just buy the unlocked 680 in the USA and have a friend ship it for you and save US$230 in the process?

By the way, I've never seen anyone break the antennae off a 650.
