680 much slower than 650? - Treo Forum

I've had my 680 for a day now, and I feel that it is much slower than my 650. Wondering if it is my set, or does anyone else here feel it.

I tested it by pressing the Home button many times in succession. Even though the 680 is a fresh set, and my 650 is loaded with applications, the 680 is significantly slower. It's quite evident when you see the screen switch between the different categories. It's so bad that the 680 cannot keep up with my pressing, and only finishes scrolling after I'm done. I hope my description is clear enough. Be glad if anyone can tell me if their 680 feels the same, or perhaps I have a lemon.

Hmm..don't get mine till tomorrow, but all the ones I've played with seem pretty responsive. I know it's brand new, but maybe try a hard reset to clear out any potential problems or hiccups.

Just curious how you got yours so early!? I've been hitting up every store in the area and just can't find one yet! My local Cingular store should have them in the morning!

haha, I'm not supposed to say. I shall stay silent on that.

Anyway, I'm going to make a video about its speed compared to my 650. Perhaps will post it up later. I've tried hard-resetting, it doesn't change a thing.

hmmmmm....silentio you are cryptic. We'd love to see the video. Best way to put it in would be through YouTube/Google Video.
