PDF Reader for TREO 650

Hi I just installed the Adobe reader for the TREO 650 version 3.05 which came with the phone. The problem I have is when I want to open the file..the phone will ask if I want to accept....pdf into Adobe Reader..I click Yes..and a message comes up "Failed to receive beamed document"...I am not beaming anything..If I hit the OK button..it says Error: Database corrupt database (0x0209)...then I get the Adobe Reader screen..any ideas?

ok, do you have the latest software update for your 650? it can be found here if not. i do know there's some type of bug with the adobe reader for the treo, that's why i went with documents to go. *shameless plug*

The problem with the Adobe Reader supplied on the CD is it will not allow you to open PDF's in their native format, they need to be converted to a Palm specific version before you can view them. The conversion takes place on the PC so if someone emails you a PDF file then you have to wait until you get back to the office/home, then convert it and then open it. Of course if your doing that you might as well open it on your home/work PC

The solution is to use a third party product such as Docs-to-Go, Picsel's Proviewer etc. but these all cost money

Apparently the Picsel viewer is supplied as standard with the new Treo 680

Oops my mistake it's the 750v that comes with the Picsel viewer, the 680 comes with Docs-to-Go as you state but it's the version which includes their PDF viewer.

outback, i believe the registered version of docs2go is the only version that will support native pdf viewing.

strange. try re-installing the prog on your treo and see if you can get it to work. might have to try a hard reset. for which version are you registered?
