Big problem - Treo Forum

I just got a treo 650 from my friend as a replacement phone. When i got it it had a full charge and drained like normal, but then i plugged it in to charge and the battery just kept getting lower and lower.

Now the battery is completely drained, but when i plug in the treo, the keyboard/screen flicker on and off constantly, it seems like it starts to boot up but with in the first 1/2 second it resets and starts all over, i can post a video if it will help.

Any ideas?

One of two more obvious things come to mind, although some less than obvious things could be causing it as well. First, if you have another Palm device of any type, try using the same charging cable with the same outlet and make sure both the outlet and the cord work. Then I wouuld check the battery to ensure its not going bad. Take it to your local carrier's store and have them check the battery for you. If that works fine, then it could either be something that was still burning the battery faster than you could charge it, or a hard ware problem. I hope its not the later. If you get it running at all, do a hard reset (after backing everything up). That sometimes clears up things that get stuck running in the background. Good luck.
