treo 650 not vibrating

hey all,
up until recently, my treo 650 was vibrating like it should. i did drop the phone a couple of times which might have caused some damage to this mechanism, but i'm not sure... all of my settings appear to be set correctly with vibrate enabled where it should be.
i know that some cell phone batteries actually do the vibrating, but i just wanna know if this is the case for the treo as well?

thanks!

no, it's inside the case where the vibrating occurs, not in the battery. i remember some old nokia phones had vibrating batteries. verizon wanted like 80 bucks for one! i know this sounds stupid, but try a hard reset. i know what some people think - 'this guy and hard resets. what's his deal?' they've gotten me out of tight spots before, so just give everything a try once. probably h/w and not s/w but good to be sure. anyway, hope this helps.

I agree with brandonwakenobi on at least trying the hard reset. I once went a whole day with the Treo thinking there was a headset plugged in when there was not (call would connect, but the "speakerphone" button was not displayed) and none of the callers could hear me nor I them. It took a whole day before I thought of doing a hard reset (I thought there was something in the headset jack, physically making the connection and fooling the phone). Nope, a hard reset solved the problem. Worth a try, but obviously sync your phone first to back your data up.
