 | no sound on hand held a couple of weeks ago my ringtones started sounding blown out, like the volume was set so high it was causing the ringtones (any of them) to sound like a blown speaker. now there is no sound of any kind. any help would be appreciated. |

| hey Pete, no third party software what so ever on phone. I have done a hard reset. a soft reset. and lite candles over it. I am noticeing other posts with similar issues. and no fixes yet. |

| I'll try the speaker replacement thats what I thought it was, I didnt know they had a speaker. I'll try the speaker replacement this week. Since I cant imagine going a monthe with no ringing. I too am moving away from the treo. I am moving to the Iphone next month since they are now more affordable. thanks for the info, c |

| I'd repair it and sell it on eBay or craigslist then. You'll be able to recoup some money then.
