caller unable to hear me - Treo Forum

I can call and I can receive calls but whoever it is that I am "talking" with cannot hear me. It's almost as i I am muted. The phone can text and everything else is normal, but, the person is unable to hear me? Is there anything that can be done about this? I tried resetting the phone a few times but still the same.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Did you do a hard or a soft reset(s)?

How old is your 650? there was an audio update sometime back that may not have been applied to your 650 that might help your problem.

Additionally, you may want to be sure that your ROM version is updated to 1.20 ENA...(probably not a direct fix, but it has some other -including BT- bug fixes)

if neither what jfa02 suggested or what I did works, there is the possibility that it's mechanical.
I'll look for whether or not you can get a mic.

UPDATE.......... you can. LotusLord found a pretty killer site for individual parts, if you're so inclined.

IMPORTANT !........ Bear in mind that replacing the mic is only a suggestion from someone (me) who is probably less informed than many Treonauts on the peculiarities of its audio software. Personally, I would exhaust these guys for answers first, and then ask them if they feel that physical replacement of the mic is an efficient and necessary solution.
