Is the 680 MUCH better than the 650? What are the pros and cons? I guess I'm old fashion...I'm not interested in windows OS: I have enough of windows with my laptop and desktop! So I think I'll stick with palm OS as long as possible.

The 680 isn't too big of an upgrade IMO. Smaller form factor, no stubby antenna, newer version of the OS, and newer versions of other software in ROM. Still only on Edge, so while slightly faster than the 650, not as fast as CDMA Palm OS devices.

Battery is smaller, so less life generally. However it's still supported by Palm (but who knows how much longer?)

Hold out for the new Linux based palm device? Might be worth the wait.

Possibly this year for the Linux OS.

Also maitemia, the 680 is Palm OS, the 750 is WM.
