Dropped my phone, LCD is fine, touchscreen is not.

I dropped my 650 (verizon) and I see the images fine, but theres a crack down the screen and to the left of the crack the touchscreen doesnt work, but to the right it does. Do I need to replace the whole screen, or would just a digitizer from ebay be sufficient

They actually come as one piece, so you'll need to replace the whole thing.

Hmmmm, crazy.

I would think you would want to replace your screen anyway due to the crack in it.
I don't think just replacing the digitizer is going to work, due to the crack.

I think crud5000 is correct even if you buy them separately you are probably better off buying them together. If for nothinbg else if you buy the screen and then you also need the digitizer then you order that and you have two shipping charges and two waits on the products to get there.

Jaredsabeast, Were you able to install the screen (LCD/Digitizer)? Or are you still waiting for it in the mail? Anyway, I did that operation about a month ago and messed up the little latch on the mother board where the screen's ribbon connects to. Well, I say it was me, but it looks like the little latch (I don't have any other name for it!) that snaps down just refused to go down and the more I pressed the more it started to unhinge! Then it just snapped out (this where I went bonkers!)! I then started a half-hour of stressful re-attachment, with success, but it still wouldn't latch down. Solution? $40. I bought another 650 over Ebay with a bad ESN and switched mother boards (hence a good latch!). I kind of felt proud of my mechanical prowess (had never done such a thing in my life)! But short $40. The week without my Treo was hell! Hope you have better success. Let us know how it went.
