| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Sprint Treo 650 Orange Light I have had my Treo 650 for a solid year now and have never had any real problems until now. All of sudden the other day my phone turned off and started the reboot process by showing the "PalmOne" loading screen then it goes black and then the "Palm Powered" screen showes up and then it just keeps going in a cylce repeating the same thing and there is a orange light on the outside thing that normally flashes when green. I am thinking it maybe has to do with a old battery, well im hoping it's that. Any suggestions? PLEASE |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Try performing a warm reset. It takes a little dexterity. ![]() Take off the battery cover exposing the reset button. Hold up on the 5-way navigator, and then press the reset button. CONTINUE to hold up on the navigator until you reach the second Palm screen (just after the little black bar at the bottom completes its cycle), then let up. This should put your phone in a kind of "safe mode". You can then enter the hash code (##377 for Sprint, #*377 for GSM, #*#377 for Verizon) to show you the crash log. This should tell you if its an application causing your problems.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sounds like you've got a corrupt messaging database. Try deleting the Messages Database file, and then performing a soft reset.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hmm..this may be the tricky part. Do you have a program like FileZ or FileProg? If not, see if it will let you install it on your device. You'll need to do this using an SD card, as you may not be able to Hotsync. Once this is done, you can search for the file Message Database, and then delete it.
