software install CD question - Treo Forum

Didn't get an installation CD with my used 650. (I installed a borrowed copy) after a hard reset. Everything works great. In the meantime a genuine Software Installation CD arrived that I ordered and am wondering:
Can I install the new copy overtop of the existing software? Will that confuse things? Or should I just leave well enough alone since everything is working well and keep the new disc around for in the event of a crash.

I think you're probably better off leaving well enough alone. Its good to have the CD, in case your PC crashes.

It may be the same version of evrything you have now oor possibly even older. Still best not to tempt fate eh!
