![]() | charging question i got my treo about a week ago and it was used by my sister for about 10 months before i got it. The is the last few days it wont charge. The port where the charge goes seems kind of messed up, like its bigger than it is supposed to be, probably from her dropping it. I bought a new charger and that isnt making any difference. Do you guys have any ideas on how to fix it short of shipping it to palm? Or any ways i can rig it? thanks in advance |

![]() | If it's the actual connection built into the phone. You would have to get Palm to fix it if you wanted to charge the phone it self.... Or.... You could buy another battery and get an external battery charger and charge that one then leap frog the batteries. I myself have an extra battery and external battery charger. There are many to chose from in the Accessory area of Treonauts store. Or... get it fixed.... They both will get you where you want to be, power for your phone. Although to be able to just plug your phone in and charge it is best. Whatever works best for you. ![]() |

![]() | I was looking at the external charger option. I guess ill have to check with palm and see how much a repair would cost. Ill go with which one would be cheaper because im in college and money is tight to say the least. Thanks for the input! |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | A cheaper option (free) would be to use the sync cable (assuming that fits) and connect it to your PC. This will cause a trickle charge. It takes a bit longer, but if you leave it overnight, it should be charged by the morning. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | What I was talking about was the cable that connects your device to the PC itself for Hotsyncing. There are other cables out that both Hotsync and have an additional adapter to plug in the wall. That is an additional cost. That may be what LL is talking about, or he may in fact be referring to the battery charger. If the battery won't charge through any of these means, you may have a defective battery as well. But try some of these suggestions first. |
