Hi im completely new to using a palm so sorry in advance if im not too savy with using it yet. My sister gave me a palm treo 650. I do not have internet on the phone, i just have text messaging. I have been reading on how to use mp3 files as ringtones and i am kind of confused about it. I have a sd card for the phone and i also have an sd card reader on my computer. I have copied a few mp3 files from free ringtone sites onto the card and it will only let me listen to them in realplayer. I have read that if you download an application called minitunes or something like that you can use them. Is it possible to download the program without having internet access on the phone and if so how? If thats not possible do you have any advice for me on how to put ringtones on the phone? Thanks, any advice would be apprectiated.

Welcome to Treonauts, Yellow!!!! Minitunes will convert MP3s to ringtones. I'm including a link with instructions. I would ensure that when you edit the ringtones that they are no more then 30 seconds (at most) in length, as they take up a lot of memory space. If you don't have a data plan, the best way to download Minitunes is through your PC and then Hotsync it to your device (simply download the prc and then when the folder is open, click on the prc file and it will automatically go to your quick install tool). Minitunes and the MP3s can be stored on your card, but the ringtones must be stored on your device.

MiniTones ROCKS, it dose a great job.
Easy to use and great for getting just the right part in the song.

Thanks for the help! Ill try it this weekend when i go home. I dont curently have that cord with me. Ill post and tell you how it went. Plus ill probably still have questions since all of this is new to me.
