![]() | Tom Tom Navigator 6 I recently purchased the Tom Tom Navigator6 after receiving information on the newsletter. I really like it but have a question. While the gps is in use and the treo rings, it is interrupted and it is necessary to start all over. I thought I read somewhere about an update. Is anyone aware of one? Other than that and the fact that there wasn't very clear directions when I rec'd it, I like it very much and would recommend it! Cyndi M Florida |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | There was an update but it was specific to the Treo 680, 755P and 750, you can find it here ![]()

| Junior Member ![]() | I don't have this problem with my Palm 680. I just hit the "house" icon and then go back into the TomTom application which has the old route still in there. Edit: Note that I have the Palm GPS Navigator 3rd edition(comes with the 6.030 version, no need to update). I can switch back to TomTom(on the SD card) and it keeps the existing route, though you may need to accept the disclaimer again. When you have a route you have set up previously, you can also select "recent destination" to pull the old locations back up fairly quickly. The only problem I do have is that on occasion when launching the app, it will not talk to the GPS until I pop out the battery. I suspect this is a phone problem since other applications have caused problems with the phone locking up or doing weird things. The Google Maps application(most recent version for PalmOS) seems to conflict with the TomTom application, even if Google Maps isn't running. Just having Google Maps installed causes problems for me and can cause even more problems(phone locking up). Last edited by Targon; 12-27-2007 at 10:05 AM. |

![]() | I myself don't have this problem. I have 6 and the Treo 650. Goes from phone right back into 6 and continues. So not sure what is going on with yours. Might be some other program messing it up. ![]() |

![]() | I have the same problem with my 700p failing to link to my GPS using TomTom6. Until it was stolen, I used my previous 650 and it never failed to link. I suspect the BT stack in the 700p b/c it also fails to link with my Dual XHD6425 (which effing ROCKS, btw!!) head unit in my car. One of the Hobbyist Software apps that keeps TomTom 'anchored' during a call works well, but I don't remember which app it was. The nag screens drove me apesh*t, so I uninstalled it before the trial was up. |
