Use the newest update for Cingular/AT&T. If you use the wrong update, you run the risk of problems. As for all the stuff thats preloaded into the ROM, you can't delete it, but you can make it "dissapear" using Obfuscate. This handy little program will allow you to hide any application that is included in the ROM.

i finally found my usb to plug into my cradle...i've never hotsync'd b4. and i can't get it to hot sync.......how do i do that? that way i can start updating things.

Make sure you have the Palm Desktop (or Outlook if you prefer) and the Hotsync software and conduits installed. Then all you should have to do is plug your Treo into the computer, and initiate the sync.
