![]() | replace sprint treo 650 with .... My current 650 issues are: -I'm a traveling consultant and in most of the buildings I work in the phone doesn't ring or drops calls. When I go outside it's a bit better but still not the best. On my current project 2 fellow consultants have att and verison and their cell phones (regular phones) and they get a full signal. I'm using their phones and forgot how nice it was to have a loud volume. so my current issues with my 650 and sprint are: -650 can't hear (not loud enough, blue tooth helps to compensate) -poor reception I've been looking at all the other phone options from the motorola q, black jack, various blackberries, etc. I think I've decided not to go windows mobile. It sounds like everyone's crashes at least once a day. Should I pay the $50 and get a insurance replacement 650? If I have full signal bars the phone seems to work fine. I'm not getting any crashes at all. Upgrade to 750p with sprint? I can't find any specs or reviews indicating that the 750p is any better in terms of signal reception. upgrade to 680? (less battery life?) Switch to AT&T 750w they don't offer a 750p in the stores. At&t kills you on the data plan but this might have a better signal? goto another provider? who? Is the issue that cdma doesn't penetrate buildings as well as the at&t network? Wish list: -blue tooth that works more than 2 feet away from phone without static -ability to hear the phone while holding it up to my ear -ability to make and receive phone calls from more locations -it seems like I do like the touch screen as I use the phone as a data entry device during the day for notes like passwords and adding contacts during the day. -I use email extensively and the treo is working okay (it runs out of memory and crashes if I have 1,000 emails in there, snippets of emails not the entire text) I'm hesitant to sign up for 2 more years with sprint. I told sprint I'd like to test drive a used phone for a week then make a decision but they want a purchase made then a return could be performed. I'm not ready for that kind of paperwork / hassle at this time. thanks, ontheroad I've had a history with palm: -from the handspring pda's ($250 a pop) -treo 600 with sprint (returned 5 times and got a free upgrade to a 650 -650 currently isn't cutting it any more Last edited by ontheroad; 09-20-2007 at 10:33 PM. ![]() ![]() ![]() | Are you in a good signal area for Sprint? Check the other Networks and see who has the best coverage in your area. The reason I went with Sprint was because of their superior coverage where I live and work. I have a Sprint Tower with in eye sight of my house. Full bars all the time, and the signal strength is good too. LOL |

![]() ![]() | Wel I have had the 750 since February and mine does not crash daily or even weekly but I have not added a bunch of other programs just the sprire back up off the installation disk and pocket bible NIV from Laridian. Other than that just the dst patch have the wm6 update but have not done it yet. Probably this week it will happen. I have had the 600 and 650 with cingular and now the 750 I must say I like the 750 the best no external antenna and smaller size. |

![]() ![]() | I agree w/ Comiken205 - if you're happy with Sprint and their coverage works for you, go with the 755p, it's a great device. Sprint coverage in my area and where I seem to travel is the best for me and I get great reception. I work in a car dealership (huge building, steel construction, lots machinery and metal everywhere) and I enjoy good signal-even inside. |
