| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Keyboard flashes and he signal light is orange I tried to search but have not has any luck. I hope someone has had this problem before.. bought a Treo 650 with a "broken touch screen." The screen worked fine but the touch part would not work. I tried to realign the cable but nothing. I noticed that the cable on the screen had several indentures and figured that might be my problem. So I reassembled the phone, only this time nothing. I was not that worried, figured I just had the cable out of alignment. So I waited until I received my new screen and installed it. Again, nothing. I checked the cable several times and nothing changed. I plugged in my charger, hoping my battery was dead and then an orange light at the top (signal) and my keyboard flashes fast. I looked at the keyboard cable and it has a crack in it (on the very edge) but not all the way through the cable, so I am wondering if either my mainboard took a dump or my keyboard cable could be an issue. Has anyone had a similar problem? Thanks! Matt |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Haven't seen any problems like that here yet. When you say you tried to "realign the cable" , did you mean the cable for the digitizer? Also, when you say your keyboard cable "has a crack in it" do you mean at the connection, or on the cable itself? |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | The main cable on the screen that connects to the mainboard. When I did that I hoped that the touch screen problem was caused by a mis-aligned cable. I was able to have the phone turn back on but still no touch screen, so I tried again and then it was blank. I just figured I would wait until I received my screen. The crack is on the keyboard cable itself. I looked at it further and it is on a line (i believe a wire). I am not sure if this can cause the phone not to turn on? The orange light is where the signal light usually blinks. The light flashes when I hook up my charger. Could the keyboard cable cause this problem? |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Well I got it figured out. abc_kid had a similar issue and he solved it. I did not push the display cable in far enough. When I inserted it with some (little) force it still did not seat all the way back all though it felt like it did. I tried with more force and the cable slid back a little more then my horror ended. The Treo turned on and works perfectly now! |
