Angry Problem with Tomtom and Verizon 650

Has anyone been able to install tomtom navigator 6 on a treo 650 with Verizon as carrier. I was told by tomtom support(And Verizon) that it is not compatible. I just haven't figured out why this would not be listed, so that some of us on THE LARGEST NETWORK wouldn't purchase something not compatible. I am really tempted to switch my service to Cingular in order to have this nav system. But before i take hit on early termination of contact I want to make sure there isn't a way around this.

The carrier is irrelevant as TomTom uses a dedicated GPS receiver and not the cellular radio. What you will need to check is that Navigator 6 runs Ok on the 650, if it does then it will work on any 650

According to TomTom's website the Treo 650 is compatible with Navigator 6.0

I have tried to intall but will not recognize my treo to install software. As I said before both Tomtom and Verizon said that I cannot insatall tomtom, but like you I don't understand why that would be. Why doesn't tomtom software give me a*.prc file to install.

Have you got the latest version of the Palm Desktop and TomTom Home software installed on your PC?

Everything is good to go now I used cardexport II and it now recognizes my palm. Why tomtom didn't know that I don't know. Chalk some of it to my inexperience also. THanks for your help
