Treo 650 post-Hot Sync reset - Treo Forum

Hello to the Treonauts Community!

[I am simply going to paste the same query here that I have on the other forums; I think this may somehow be related to the "Hot Sync looping" I've read about(?)] Briefly, everytime I Hot Sync my Treo 650 to my PowerBook G4 Mac, the handheld does a soft reset. Can anyone tell me why and how to stop it from doing so?

Does it happen after the hotsync completes, or is it happening in the middle of the hotsync? If it's happening in the middle, then watch the screen to see what application is being synced at the time of the reset. That will indicate which application is causing the problem. You can also enter the reset code to see what the Treo thought reset it.

Find out if your Treo 650 or 600 reset itself (and the error code it recorded)

My Treo 680 does the same thing - soft-resets after every HotSync. No data lost so far as I can tell, but annoyingly time-consuming. I'm syncing with a Powerbook G4 running OS 10.4.9

also - unsure if related to the soft-resetting problem - the Categories that I use in the Entourage calendar fail to transfer to the Treo, even if I set Entourage conduit settings to "Entourage overwrites handheld".
