Contacts List Trouble - Treo Forum

I did a search...didn’t find what I am looking for...so here goes...

I recently did a hotsync with my computer (Now running Vista) and most of my contacts disappeared from my list in the phone! Weird thing is...when I get a call from someone who disappeared...they show up in the caller ID complete with the little pic I assigned them.... but when I search for them in the list they are not there.

Any advice on this?

Whoa! Umm. The only advice I can give you is get the new updates to be able to sync with Vista(check Andrew's blog). If you have done that...............hummm, check to see if the contacts are set to private or something.

I am sorry I can't help but I am flummoxed by this issue.

When you are in the Contacts screen, there is a little tab at the top of the screen where you can choose contact categories. Make sure that you choose to see All contacts, not a specific group like Business or Personal.

Like both comiken205 and Musicman247 said, make sure they are not set to private or in another catagory. Also, since you are using Vista, you need to make sure you are using the most current version of the desktop. There have been some issues related to syncing the PIM applications (Contacts, Memos, ect.) that can be fixed by being current with your software. Check out Andrews blog here for a list of the newest updates, and look at point 3 for how to make sure your using the most current desktop.

On a side note, WOO HOO for another Houston Treonaut!!
