Trouble with Mail: location of unread vs. read - Treo Forum

In mail, my UNREAD items appear at the bottom of the list, but in this same list the READ items appear sorted by date+time, with the newest READ item appearing at the top. This is annoying as I am wasting time scrolling up and down to see each.

How to fix this?

FYI - MY MAIL APPLICATION BUILD:
Mail Version 6.5.12.3
Mar 10 2006 22

Press the menu button, select Preferences. Tap "Display" and set your Sort by options. I have mine set to "Date" and "Descend" It makes the newest messages appear on top. Hope this helps!

Thanks for the response.
In mail, i hit menu, options, preferences, and I have the following tabs:

General
Inbox
Outbox
Drafts
Sent
Deleted

I dont see any sort options in any.
What am I missing?

Under General, select display and then do the "date" and "descend" next to Sort By:

Sorry I can't be of anymore help. But one last ditch effort here. Do you have the latest version of versamail?

I got this treo 650 through Verizon Wireless and the mail program doesnt have the word "Versamail" anywhere in the description. It is just "MAIL"

FYI - MY MAIL APPLICATION BUILD:

Should I try installing VERSAMAIL?

Yes,

If it is on your disk that came with your phone, do it.
