beware mRing

I downloaded the mRing demo. It seemed to work well. After the demo was over I purchased the software. After about a month my phone began resetting itself anytime someone would call or text me. Which meant I couldn't recieve a call or a text. mRing said that other people were having the same problem. They gave me a couple resolutions that didn't work. After a couple months I asked for a refund so I could purchase another program that actually works. They denied my request.

I love my treo but bogus software writers who steal money only make customers leary. Please use another brand. Here was their reply to me....

Hello Doug,

Unfortunately we are not able to provide you with a refund for this purchase, as the registration code has been issued and you have already registered mRing.

Once the registration procedure has been completed we are unable to retract the product.

This is why we strongly encourage customers who have an interest in purchasing our products to try out the applications before purchasing. To make this an easy procedure, we provide a free, fully functional trial period.

By doing so we provide an opportunity to all interested buyers to make sure that the software works well for them and to set expectations for what the software can and can not do.
When, after having a chance to try out the software, the customer makes a purchase and we issue a registration code for the product, we will not be able to honor requests for a refund.

looks like mring's creator won't provide any kind of support after the sale, huh? were i you, i'd call/email/raise hell until i was satisfied. the entire reason companies are in business are to provide a service to their customers. when they no longer provide the service a customer expects, that's when that customer takes his business elsewhere. in such a way, that particular company loses not just one customer, but all potential customers with which the shunned customer is in contact. bummer, dude.

its not just me!!!

WOW!!! I'M NOT CRAZY!!!

Mine resets after I open mRing to make adjustments. I don't think it has yet to ring the way I have it set. I'd love to find out if we have any other 3rd party apps in common to see if therein lies the problem.

And no...I haven't contacted the programmer...I just figured it out a couple days ago...

I'm STILL having difficulty with resetting issues. Haven't figured out exactly where.

Threadie, I use zLauncher. I had to try to delete it from there, but had to exit out of zLauncher to the native Palm screens. I then went thru the Delete function and it worked much better. GOOD LUCK
