Treo 650 Goes to Sleep

I have several 650s for my company. Recently I purchased unlocked ones for cingular use. Two of them go to sleep and I miss calls and need to either reset it or hit the on button numerous times. can I do anything about this

Maybe a soft reset will help, if not a hard reset.

Hello,
I am a new member, so this is my first post.
I have been having the same problem, and missed some important calls. Its not that it "freezes" or need to reset or hit the buttons several times. Its that when I "wake-up" the phone, it presents me with a "You missed a call" message. I haven't been able to pin point the exact situation when this ocurred, I just know it was in slep mode. I don't have any phone related aplication installed, just a few PIM that I don't believe interfere with the phone.

I am pretty sure it did not ring. Does anyone have a solution/fix for this?

Thanks
Pedro

Well, one of the people who tried to call me said the call went to the voice-mail, as if the phone was disconected OR with no signal. Because the phone was not disconected, I assume it had no signal, which is also strange because I was in a area with good signal (sorry about my bad english tecnical terms, I can't remember if the right word here is "signal" or "coverage" which is the literal translation of the portuguese word I am looking for).
Anyway, this is just for one lost call, the other ones the phone just did not ring...

The reason I made that comment was the 650 doesn't have a sleep mode. It turns the screen off after a period of inactivity but the other functions continue to work. Have you tried phoning it yourself from a land line when the screen is off?

Yes, I have tried phoning myself from a land line and also from a mobile phone and the phone did ring. I did it several times and every time the phone worked fine.

That is why I am confused about this.

I will do a few more tests and see how it goes.

Thanks,

Pedro

BlankReg will become famous soon enough
This has happened to me periodically as well. Never been able to draw any conclusions, I've just been writing it off to spotty coverage. Doesn't happen too often, and it also happened with my regular cell phone prior to the Treo.

Sounds more like an issue with your carrier than the Treo
