New to Treo 650 HELP: 7 Questions

I am new to treo 650, and I am thinking about buying an unlocked treo 650.
I am a Cingular customer. Has anyone had a good experience with a treo 650 on a Cingular network?

1. Can I use the 3g sim card in the treo 650?

2. Is getting an unlocked treo 650 better than buying one from Cingular?

3. What data plan can I get to use the internet, instant messaging, and recieve emails from yahoo and gmail (19.99 or the 44.99) ?

4. what is the best headset for the treo 650?

5. what is the quality of the treo 650, can you hear others very good when you are talking on the phone?

6. Is the treo 680 better than the 650?

7. what is the best case for the phone that will protect the phone and the screen ( I need a cool looking case)?

Ok, here we go...

1) You can use the 3G card, but the 650 is not a 3G phone so don't expect those speeds.

2)Depends. If you travel out of the country a lot then yes, but the break you get when buying one from a provider makes it a little nicer. On that note Cingular is no longer selling the 650, only the 680. You can pick one up from our store on the cheap (as in $45 or FREE)

3) The Cingular reps will push the $44.99 plan, and may tell you that you can't even use the other on your phone. That's false information used to help them push sales. The $19.99 plan will work, and there are many that use it.

4) Can't really help you there, but Andrew has done plenty of good reviews.

5) I never had any problems with hearing others, or them hearing me for that matter.

6) I think so, but I'm smitten. The only thing I liked better about the 650 was battery life, but that will be fixed soon.

7) Personal preference. There are plenty to choose from.

It's an unlimited data plan originaly designed for "dumb phones". Because it's unlimited it will still work on your Treo
