Unable to Delete Message - Treo Forum

I received a few text messages from a friend in Michigan and the message went directly to the bottom of the list. Anytime I responded, my response was not visible but when she replied, you can see my message. My Treo has been acting strange lately after that, so I tried to delete our conversation and all it does is shuts down my treo and makes it restart and there's always a icon that says I have a new message. is it because she got a nextel phone or is it a virus?

Anyone had this problem?

Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I too have have the exact same problem. Have tried several things. Deleting the message/chat. Purging all old messages. Always get the same result. The device resets itself and the message is not deleted.....

Welcome modernloftnyc and palmonitor

What you could do is to to a hard reset and then in your backup folder on your PC, delete the SMS messages that are stored there, do a hotsync and all your other apps should be fine.

I'm not sure why it's doing this.

Hello,

This is Kevin from Palm, Inc. It's difficult to tell for certain the exact cause for your issue, but it may be due to a corrupt Messages Database. Another way to solve this is to go to your home screen (where all the applications are displayed) and press the menu button. Select "delete" and scroll down to "Messages Database" and delete that file. This will erase your SMS files - so you'll lose your messages, but it may resolve the issue.
