Blazer Causes Phone to Reset

It started a few weeks ago, but after I use Blazer, my phone will reset about 15 seconds after exiting Blazer for another Treo function. I tried a hard reset, but it didn't fix the problem. I would try to delete and reintall Blazer alone, but I don't know where to get a download of just the Blazer program.

Might try a zero out reset. It's a little more complicated than a hard reset, and might help you out.

here's a link to describe the zero reset, and all manner of resets too. notice that 650 is method 2 under zero out reset.

Well I tried the zero reset this morning and still no luck. I did pinpoint the error a little more to it resets right after the screen goes dark from either pushing the red phone button or from inactivity.

Thats weird.

After the reset did you synch? In other words does it do it on the clean phone without anything on it?

Same problem, with a twist. More frequently, on my 700P, I get the reset when entering Blazer rather than exiting. But, I get it on exit on occasion as well. I have done a Zero-Reset (700P style). I also tried playing with the Blazer settings--adjusting/removing cache, initial page, java, cookies, etc... Each time, including the 0-reset, it appears to make a difference, but shortly thereafter reappears. I have a copy of Crash installed and I have attempted to isolate a cause/effect to no avail. The error I log consistantly in Crash is "Emul68KMain.c, Line:456, line 111 exception at address 730F06B8".

Do you have any older software installed on your Treo?

I guess that depends on your definition of "old". I do have a few legacy programs that go back, maybe, two OS generations. But, nothing memory resident.

Try a hard rest again and then use blazer before you sync with your desktop, (like steph suggested) most problems on Treo's tend to be with third party applications

I'll give it a try. Since the problem is intermittant, I won't know right away if that makes a difference. A similar approach that I had tried (possibly with temporary results) was going in and deleting the Blazer preferences.
