updating palm desktop and sync issue - Treo Forum

i just bought a 650 (cingular). i have palm desktop 4.0 on my mac g5 that i used with an old palm pilot. OS 10.4.6. i have not been able to hotsync my palm pilot for a few months and gave up.

can i just install the palm desktop that came with my 650 and then be able to sync my 650? or should i just delete my old palm desktop and do a fresh install of the desktop that came with the 650? if i did this i would have to re-enter my info again but it's actually not too much. if yes, how do i delete my old version of palm desktop?

i'd do a clean install. i had a t5 and when i upgraded to my 650, palm desktop thought i was h/s my t5. as a result, a bunch of junk i didn't want was installed on my treo. after i did a hard reset *gasp* i uninstalled palm desktop from my hd, did a fresh install and all was well. hope this helps.
