Treo 650 battery

For those who have a 650: is your battery a 5.2V or 3.7V?

My mom just bought a refurb 650, but it has a 5.2V battery in it, and my 700p has a 3.7V - I can't find anything that says the batteries are supposed to be different between these two models (the sedio batteries are listed as being compatible for both the 650 and 700's).

I wouldn't normally care or be asking but she's having some charging issues with this phone; the phone works fine until she plugs it into the wall charger - it blips out to the point that resetting doesn't work, and removing the battery is the only way to bring it back to life.

help!

mine is stock from palm and i can't find any volt info anywhere. the interior of the phone does say 5.2V, though. have you done a hard reset and updated the s/w from the updater on palm's website?

I haven't tried that. I wasn't sure that'd solve a problem that seems to be a charger/battery issue. I will check that this weekend and see how it works.

5.2v is the input voltage i.e. what's coming in from the mains adaptor. The battery is 3.7v 1800mAh

I'm afraid I'm still confused - when you say "mains adaptor" do you mean the AC wall charger?

thanks again for the help guys.

yeah, there should be a sticker on the wall charger that says 110 - 220 V for input and 5.2 V for output.

Correct. Mains Adaptor = AC Charger
