Hi, any help would be great - Treo Forum

So Recently bought a second hand treo 600...however my ringer seems to be broken. Talking on calls still works fine, and all sounds work with the headpiece plugged in, but otherwise nothing.

Had a look around, found a similar problem with the 650, does anyone know of the solution for the 600? Tried volumecare bypass, but doesnt seem to do anything - maybe im doing it wrong though...

Can you hear people on the other end with out a headset? If so, it's likely the only external speaker has blown.

try a third party app for ring tone

if so you probably have a corrupted ringtone file

Does the speakerphone work?

When you go through the ringtone preferences do they preview correctly?

or its the headjack problem where the plug thinks the headjack is still plugged in theres a thread or two about it in th e650 forum I'm sure.
