Sprint Treo 600 screen keeps coming on - Treo Forum

The screen on my Treo 600 keeps coming on "randomly". It happens a lot right after (five or ten seconds) I push the screen off button, but it will also completely randomly (a few minutes or hours after I've touched it last). I've turned off all of my add-ins, and it continues!

Anyone had this problem? Suggestions?

Try a soft reset this might solve the issue.

Sorry to here that, maybe a hard reset will solve the problem, have you installed any new apps recently? There might be an app conflict that's causing the problem.

This happens to me too but on a 700p.

For me, and this might be different to you, I narrowed it down to any one of a number of events:

- built in powersave changing states
- keyguard coming on
- simple profile manager changing profiles and thus changing the states of a number of things
- carrier drop out
- carrier reaquisition

All of the above cause my Treo to power up the screen and sit there for a bit before powering it down. Sometimes I can see from the screen or the time what did it others I can't. This is by no means a definitive list.

Even switching off the screen (like after a call) causes the screen to come back on to to tell me keygard has been engaged instead of just silently or rather, darkly, engaging it.

Yours sounds like more eserious issue though... how long does it stay on for?
