 |  phone will not turn on When I try to turn on the phone (by pushing the button on top) the treo produces the usual sound and the turning on phone screen. Then after about a minute of not conneting the Treo automatically resets, but the phone still does not go on. I have tried both soft and hard resets several times. I have also tried a different SIM card, all to no avail. Any suggestions on how to resolve this problem would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

| unlocked Thanks for our prompt reply! It is a Treo m505. I have been using it for a couple of years. It was originally an ATT phone, but I am using it with T-mobile. So I believe that it must be unlocked. When I try to turn on the phone the "Welcome to ATT" screen appears. Then after about a minute it disappears and the Palm logo appears (as in a soft restart). It does restart, but returns to the previous state with the wireless off. Thanks again in advance for your help. |

| I dont think its a treo 50 That was avodafone non touchscreen phone which possibly could have been unlocked and used on ATT or TMO. You might be able to do a warm restart and then ahard reset. Do you have the user guide? If so the instructiuons are in there. If not you would need to go palm in UK or Europe or to the Vodaphone sites and dowenload the user guide in pdf format. |

| Ah that make more sense. How charged up is the battery. It sounds like perhaps its locked to ATT and if you are trying to use on tmo it would only at best give you emergency service. Look in the user guide and see about doing as wam reset followed by a hard reset which would take it back to factory settings. You will have to re-input your data etc if you have any and reinstall any programs but hopefully you have a backup of all of that. |

   | No problem, but we needed to find out. What happens if you pull the battery? This would probably clear all data on the device, but should clear out any issues. |
