![]() ![]() ![]() | The 500v is Europe only and there aren't that many Europeans posting here, so it's no big surprise this section is so quiet ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() | I was waiting for you to chime in on this. Maybe you should take out an ad in the local paper letting them know we're here. @csmelosky: Huh? Like a Treonauts badge? I'm not quite sure I get what your asking.....

![]() | Hey, 500v user here! (hopefully not the only one)I'd been meaning to post my findings since moving from a 650 to 500 but have been mega busy. I sold the 650 and bought a new (but unwanted) 500v without sim for £100 from an ebay seller. First impressions were good, compared to my 650 this thing is skinny and slips nicely in your back jean pocket. Keyboard feels a bit cheap compared to the 650 but works fine. Camera is still as bad as the 650 even with the upgrade in megapixels. Call quality is much improved over my 650, much clearer. Signal strength however doesn't seem to be as great and where I'm living currently appears to be a blackspot for the 500v, yet the 650 would be fine. Battery life is unimpressive, the 650 would go for days of use whereas the 500v I can easily run down with a normal day of calls. Handy that it has a USB charging slot as I can just hook it up to the nearest PC or the car charger I have for my TomTom. I would never of called myself a 'power user' of the 650 hence my move to the 500v. I'm not a road warrior but do run my own business and need my calendar, spreadsheets and documents to hand. This the 500v does well. All I've got to do now is find some Windows software that's compatible with non-touchscreen phones! Cheers, Rich |

The battery life is a difficult one, but you are right Rich, the mini-usb makes the charging issue easier and one less adapter to carry in the laptop bag I am also still looking for more software to use on the 500v, as many titles out there are not compatiable with the wider screen Nice to be back on Treonauts, been away far too long.....
