Shame really, as felt the 500 was going to be a phone that could handle a few knocks and drops better than my 750. Oh well ![]()

![]() ![]() | I have pretty much quit dropping the 750 since I retired the shortlived pacific rim swivel case. Great concept but the case warps easily when you take it out the case several times and then it wont close properly. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Don't really use the 500 much, one of the main reasons is it's wider than the 650/750 so doesn't fit in the holder I have in my car My 750v is playing up at the moment so the way things are going I may switch back to the 650 for a while ![]() Or I could go really retro and dust off the 270 ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well a hard reset and installing the unbranded WM6 firmware seems to have fixed things ![]() The main problem was it would do a send/recieve Ok once but if you tried it again it would hang on disconnecting and only a soft reset would get it working again. It also wouldn't pickup my BT GPS receiver if I have my BT headset connected. Turning the headset off, waiting to it's found and then turning it back on again works but is a real pain. Haven't tried this with the unbranded firmware yet so don't know if that's now fixed. The keyboard membrain is slightly out of line so some keys are softer to press than others, that was down to me dropping it though Last issue is instead of dialing the quick dial when holding down one of the number keys it would bring up the contact search box and fill that with loads of 1's, 2's, etc ![]()

![]() | TazUK sounds like your 750 has man flu. Hope the revised version of WM6 works ok now. Palm have been saying coming soon on the updated Vodafone 750v information for months now. Dont think it likely with the new 850 around the corner
