Importing data from Tungsten E - Treo Forum

I've just bought a Treo 500 to replace my Tungsten E. I want to import the contacts and their informations, calendar and memos from the Palm desktop for the Tungsten, but can't work out how to use the import facility provided with Outlook which came on the CD (60 day trial only).

Help to do this would be sincerely appreciated.

The easiest way would be to reconfigure Hotsync to sync with Outlook rather than Palm Desktop, sync your Tungsten and then use Activesync to sync it all back to the Treo 500.

Thanks for your kind reply. My problem now is how do you do it? I've been checking all the details in the Palm desktop Hot Sync menu and in the entries under D:/Palm, but can't work out how to reconfigure Hotsync to sync with Outlook.

If you would kindly take me through the procedure I'd be grateful.

By the way, would you know how to disengage Outlook from transferring my emails from Yahoo? I'd like to undo this operation as I'm so used to viewing and acting on them in Yahoo.

There was guide on Palm's website but I can't find it now, I think you run the setup from the CD again and there should be an option to change where it syncs to.

I too believe thats correct. Its been too long since I hot synced to palm desktop.
