Vibrate only alarm

So, I have used a Treo Pro for a year now as my alarm clock in flight mode.

In silent mode, it would just vibrate, leaving her in doors undisturbed as I haul myself out of bed for work.

The Pre doesn't seem to have the same functionality.

When in silent mode, an alarm still activates with a tone, why? Is there any way around this?

Thanks
A

Welcome to treonauts. Iin settings or preferences can you set the reminder as vibrate or when setting up the event for the reminder do you not have a vibrate option. I dont have a opre so I am going off of the pro and my past palm os experience. Does it have an airplane setting or mode you could use?

Easy fix: Go to clock app and under preferences select "no" in "Play alarm anyway" option. Now when your alarm is set and ringer switch is to vibrate, only the vibrate alarm will respond. If your ringer switch is set to "ring," then you'll get whatever audible ringtone you have selected will trigger.

OK, I don't see any preferences options when I go into the Clock app. When I hit the clock tab on the open app, what I get is Edit, Themes and help, no preferences option.

What am I missing?

Cheers,
A

Interesting? While running my "clock app" my options are Edit, Preferences, Help and then after selecting Preferences the two options are Ringer Switch Off and Theme. What WebOS version are you running?
