| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Treo 900 concept design Maybe I'm too in love with my E65, but this is the only way you get a big widescreen AND a qwerty front keypad without the device being too long/large. Having a front keypad is important as it makes this device operable with a single hand. However great the Xperia X1 is, it will remain a double-handed device which I consider very impractical. Palm, work on this effective immediately. Also guys have mercy on me, I'm not exactly a professional photoshopper I should note this is a double-slider i.e. slides upwards to reveal a single row of media keys, like the N95. Mainly for gaming and GBA/SNES emulation. There it is: ![]() http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/7...conceptyv8.jpg NB - Obviously the phone isn't slid all the way up, hence the incomplete first row on the keypad.... thought it gave it a good appeal ![]() Last edited by The_Knight; 04-02-2008 at 03:31 PM. |

![]() | WELCOME to the Forum. Hay that's a good mock up. That would be nice to have a larger screen with a slide out key pad. However I am a die hard Palm user so I don't like the windows reference. Long live the new Palm OS, coming soon. ![]() |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Thanks guys. I added a lower "lip" so the directional pad isn't flush with the lower border of the phone when it's closed. Well a new and MUCH improved Palm OS is more than welcome, but since the plans for WM7 are out in the open I thought I'd use it ![]() |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I agree. I would be able to retire my T/X and my Treo and just buy the new phone. Currently I use my T/X and a IR keyboard to enter notes at meetings. The screen of the 755p is just too small for me to see it at my age. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Way cool concepts, the both of them. I've thought about trying some kind of hardware mashup like this, but my limited knowledge of the guts of the OS limit me. Tweaking it to accommodate changed hardware is above my paygrade.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Who knows. That could be the new concept of the future Treo. Reading Andrew's blog, "they" did say the new OS was going to be iPhone like. So, this could be it with the bigger screen. The one advantage over the iPhone I see in this "concept" Treo, the QWERTY keyboard over the soft keyboard of the iPhone. A definite must have! |
