More leaked Centro pictures - Page 2 - Treo Forum

It will be interesting to see which carrier in Europe launchs this next week. See latest photos are Garnet OS which might be less problematic for the target demographic for this product.

As to features: the touch screen is a must have. And the Treo is the best smartphone with a touch screen available. I don't consider an iPhone to be a smartphone. Okay maybe a little smart, actually it's retarded by Apple's iTunes and Jobs wanting to "control" what goes on the precious $600 device. Ouch, that got marked down today to $400 but you still can't install 3rd party apps.

The photos on PDAFrance show Orange France as the carrier but my guess is it was an unlocked phone and that was the SIM they happened to use. Orange UK used to sell Treo's back in the 600/650 days but they were never really great sellers so Orange dropped them. I would be surprised if they renewed their association with Palm. We do know that Palm have an agreement with Vodafone and the countries listed on the 12th Sept announcement are all Vodafone areas.

That's simple, know ones heard of them

When people see my Treo they generally say "Oh is that a Blackberry" and when I explain it's a Palm Treo they have a blank look on their face, a bit like if I'd said it's a Superconfobulator 2000

If people don't know you exist it's very unlikely they will want to buy your products
