What! We don't allow tangents here!

I agree. Everyone says smaller is the way to go, but you sacrifice usability. I mean, I'm sure they could still shave a little off, but I personally don't like the idea of going to a smaller screen or keyboard.

Got that right, I think with the Treo 750, we have now got the best form factor out there, that actually resembles a practical smartphone

the centro and the 800 better not be the same thing, otherwise folks will start baying for the blood of palm. i'd personally like to have a treo that's just a tad skinnier. my complaints (on this particular topic, anyway) are finished.

The Centro is the Treo 690 on the leaked Sprint road map, the 800 will most likely be released as both a WM6 and POS II device. With Ed saying that no devices with the new OS will be released until 2008 it could be a long wait

This post was started when rumors began on a new device from Palm. First, it was the Gandolf. Finally, Palm introduced the 500v in Europe and then the Centro in the U.S. The rumored new phone was mistaken as the 800.

However, rumors of an 800 are still in the rumor mill. But from the sound of Palm's last announcement, it will be another year before we see anything new.

I think we are being hood-winked, this photo is from the recently launched Centro in US, and 500v in UK. I dont think this is a new phone at all.

IMHO, the lack of wi-fi is the only thing that keeps the 750 from being an 8525. With wi-fi, the Treo would outperform the 8525 hands down...and besides, it looks better and is easier to handle.

Like I said, IMHO...

so the new centro has no wifi? is this confirmed for sure? i looked for some official aritcles and non have said it to have it but i wanted a real confirmation. im very sad about the centro so far because of the no wifi confirmation.
