 | A Google Treo? I caught the tail end of a discussion the other day on a CNBC news program discussing the iPhone and 'rumors' coming from Silicon Valley. One such rumor intrigued me since I"ve been watching the Google play in the cellphone market. One such rumor was that Google is talking with Palm about a phone that would partner Google and Palm in a Treo-like phone deal. Is there any information available on such a product? I would be interested in seeing just what kind of "iPhone killer" Google could come up with?  |

| I can't see it happening to be honest. A more advanced version of Google Maps is on the iPhone, and Google is the default search on Safari. If Google were in the business of creating an iPhone-Killer, I doubt they'd have given Apple as much support as they have. Still, you never know... |

| Google seems to be in the buisness of helping everyone out. That way they surround us and take over from all sides. When/If the Google device arrives, we'll already be familar with it, and it will work with everything.

| There were rumours a while back about a Google PC running a Linux based OS, with Palm now developing their own Linux based OS for future Treo's it would kinda fit  Of course MS will still say they're not worried by Google and that they are still only a one trick pony

| google doesn't support apple nearly as much as they support the open source community, and as a member of that community, i would buy that phone in a heartbeat. It would most definitely run on linux as well, which is a definite plus to me. heck, google itself runs on linux.
