Any news about a 755w headed this way? - Treo Forum

My business expects me to use a Sprint Treo with windows mobile. I'm been holding on to my 650 palm OS waiting to switch over. I'm wondering if I should wait for a 755w or just go ahead and get the 700w. Thanks.

I haven't heard any news of a new WM Treo coming to Sprint,or any rumblings thereof, but that doesn't mean it won't happen. If your looking to switch soon though, you'll need to go with the 700wx.

I'm not sure how long you can wait, but personally I would hold off. 320x320 and WM6 goodness! Speculation on the internet is before 2008, some people are saying as early as July... I upgraded my Treo 650 for a Motorola Q, and I like it, but I would *really* love a 755w. I'll probably even eat the full price as I won't be elgible for the upgrade discount for a long fickin time.

There is news of the 800w which will be CDMA wm6 evdo rev A andf maybe even wifi built in sometime later this summer maybe

I did read on Engadget that Rev A will be up and running along with WIMAX. From what I read is the Rev A will be the slower speeds and WiMax will be the High Powered connection! Of course, i don't live anywhere near a WiMax proposed City, I guess I will have Rev A.

I think its coming sooner than we think I look forward to the wm6 like an earlier poster I dont live near a 3G area right now so I can only dream of 3G speeds even UMTS much less HSDPA I just saw where ATT upped the speed on thir EDGE network becuase of the iphone. Thanks apple for something!

Ok, well I was just at my local Sprint store looking at the Centro and talking to the rep. In conversation the 755wx came up. The rep (who actually was knowledgeable) said that it is a done deal, they just don't know the release day yet. Rejoice WM users, its to be a CDMA version of the 750.

Good news for all the sprint (and other (eventually) CDMA) treonauts! If and when it happens of course as all us card carrying 750 treonauts can attest.
