![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I really have to suggest waiting, for 2 reasons. The 755, is the same form factor as the 680 and 750 which means it's lighter and thinner than the 700 series. and the 755 is a 3G (EVDO) phone, which means higher data speeds, assuming you'll be using the device to get email and surf the web. How soon do you want to get your new phone? |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | OK, thanks for your suggestion. I wanted to get the 700p as soon as I was eligible to get a new phone from Verizon at a discounted price, which was last week... but once the date came around, the CDMA version of the 680/750 (755) was announced so then I interpreted that to mean that Verizon would get something similar, if not the same phone, soon. And yes, I would use it for all of it's capabilities... I'm sick of my phone and I really wanted to buy a treo. So you think I should wait too, eh? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I hear you. I was using a 650 but wanted wifi. I temporarily got the 680, while the 750 was on order. I was forced to get a pda plan temporarily, for rebate reasons, so I'm liking the 3G speeds, so who knows I may keep it. I feel that if you can wait for the month or 2 to see when and if they are going to release the 755 on Verizon, it's definitely worth it. Can you get a phone for 30 days to try? If so I'd wait for a week or 2 then go in and ask if they can give you a time frame on the 755, and see if you can try the 700p. |

| A Few Questions.... ![]() | Yeah, I might just wait and see what will happen in the next couple of weeks. I don't believe Verizon has any sort of deal where you can try a phone for a few weeks to see if you like it though... I can see them actually be like "no, this is your phone now... if you don't like it, then that's just too bad". I really just want to go over to Cingular with the iPhone, but I'm going to wait until the next version comes out because that will be way cooler than this upcoming version. I can see it having double the memory, and not having any bugs like this one will have. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | promotingmachine, Be patient. I can't tell you how many time I went to the store and bought a cell only to find out that a couple of months later the new phone I wanted came out. Now I have to wait two years to get a phone that will be obsolete. So, take it from me, I too love cell phones, technology is my addiction, besides women of course. I promise you won't regret it. Now, the 700p is a good phone. I have had mine with no major issues. Or should I say any that was not caused by me. But why buy last years model when you can have this years? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Don't we all One good thing though is when Palm announce a new product it's usually available within a few days, unlike some manufacturers who announce something and then you have to wait months and months before you can buy it ![]()

| I made my first post! ![]() | Engadget Mobile has a posting today with information supposedly from a Verizon employee that Verizon "is planning to release its own Treo 755p variant shortly". Like promotingmachine, I'm on Verizon, have been wavering on replacing my Tx + crappy LG clamshell with the 700p, or waiting for a possible 755p release. I'll be waiting to at least look at the 755p now. |

![]() | As much as I do enjoy my Treo 700p, I'd wait for the 755p. (I know it's hard, but would be nice to go antenna-less and have a tad less bulk) My worry would be battery life ... especially if you talk a lot, use email frequently, work in bright lit areas AND get addicted to MP3 playing, streaming audio OR VIDEO! My Slingplayer on my 700p eats about half my Seiko 2400mAh battery in 60 minutes of play. (at 1/3 brightness) I wonder what that will be like on the 755p? |
