![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I think a scroll wheel would be a good addition to the Treo's design Didn't like the trackball on the Blackberries, the D-pad works better IMHO.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I agree, and am surprised the 500 doesn't have one.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | IMHO, having played with some BB's, the track ball feels cheap. Fluid, but cheap. I like the feel of the D-Pad.

![]() | I left my 700p on 11/29 to get the Pearl. Up to my 30 days, I realized how much I missed my Treo. Luckily Verizon came out with the 755p during that time, so here I am happy. However, I would like to say that the BB Pearl is a communication machine! If that is all you need, it does it well and very well at that. Phone reception was great. Email flawless and so forth. The size was nice to. Just slip it in your pocket and hardly notice its there. But when it came to Pda use, forget it. But I dont think the BB was trying to accomplish that with that device. I can do so much more than just communication with my Treo even if its a "dated" os. My friend calls it a 6th grader operating system-LOL. |

As I have said before, if all you want is a phone and getting e-mail while on the road, then go with a Blackberry. If you want a full PDA that can be used for just about anything, a Treo will be much better. Of course, if the people at Palm would wake up and do what they have been talking about for years(Linux based OS for their products), it would be the best of both worlds and provide what people have been screaming for. | |

![]() | well... here is my two cents. I have had a treo 755p and it is running rock solid. very few crashes and most of them were because of the alpha and beta testing I was doing. I just played with a blackberry curve that a friend of mine purchased and I was glad that I chose the palm solution. blackberry's user interface is a bit rough. it feels more like a feature phone instead of a smart phone to me... then again, you have to choose the right tool for the right job. sure the garnet OS is a bit dated but it is very battle-tested . as a mobile power user, I know I have selected the right choice for me. excuse me, I need to vnc into my server and check an update, then play some super nintendo on my phone to relax ![]() Last edited by contradude; 01-20-2008 at 09:26 AM. |
