Is there a 750P in the Works?

Can anyone tell me [Andrew??] if Palm has any intention of releasing a Treo 750P later this year... hopefully no later than summertime?

I am hoping Palm is going to follow the same scheme as they did with the 700's = 700W first.... 6 months later 700P.

Can anyone point me to some articles or some info on the street [Andrew??]

Further - Are there any plans for any more Treo's at all in 2007 besides the 750W?

as far as we know now, there will be no 750p. the 680 is the equivalent (doesn't sound like it, tho) of the 750v/w. bummer, huh?

One machine 680 is a consumer device. The other 750 is a business device.

Unless you are saying that Palm is reducing it's Palm platform to a consumer or second rate platform?

I am looking for the next Gen Palm platform Treo device. I have a 650 and want to know if there is anything in the works.

all i'm saying is that for now, the 750v/w and 680 is it. who knows what palm is going to do? not i, and probably not even palm. you've got issues with a 680 not being equivalent to a 750? get in line. we've been complaining about this for some time. a 680 is just a 650 with more memory and the fat32 driver. yes, we know - that's not good enough. as i said, we've been going on about this for some time. i'm not saying that palm is reducing their platform to anything. if you're looking for the next generation palm device, keep looking, cos it ain't the 680.

But your initial reply was well, wrong. I felt like you were blowing smoke up my... for the sake of a reply. The 680 is not equal to the 750 which you just said in your second reply. So why reply the way you did the 1st time??

I am not intending to get this into a hot topic... just don't respond to a post for the sake of it when the reply is not accurate info. I am up on the situation & I was just hoping maybe soemone around here knew of or had heard something more than what is out there is all.

ok, enlighten us with your expansive knowledge. what is coming about from palm, o great and powerful oz? i don't post for the hell of it; that's the job of others that have since been banned. and don't think you can come in here and tell others how to post. i have read on other forums and news posts that palm really considers the 680 and 750 to be on par with each other. take it for what you will...

niknud, actually i think brandon answered your question in his first sentence. I don't think it's fair to say he's replying of the sake of it he's already got 595 posts and plenty of better things to do.

There are rumours of a 'new' device from palm this year and plenty of talk surrounding what it might be including speculation surround their recent re-acquisition of their OS from Access.

Developers who may have access to early source APIs would be heavily NDA'd.

It is clear that Palm need to bring innovation and reliability (oxymoron?) back to the fore.

niknud, what's with the attack on Brandon ??? For a new poster you seem to have a bit of a grudge with him, Brandon's given his opinion on your question, which without any insider info about up and coming Treo's is gonna be pretty difficult to do.

Try google Jeff Hawkins secret project there's something in the pipeline, we just don't quite know what... it's a waiting game.
