Pixi anounced for Sprint - Treo Forum

Pixi with webos and 8gb anounced for Sprint yesterday with no date of release. Stories and videos available at Engadget and a short one at precentral.com. There may be others as well. Still searching will kepp you posted. There still may be a gsm version eos which I posted about yesterday but somewhat skeptical about that. Hopefully if it does come it will also have 8gb of storage like the pixi.

Here's a pic, we have already seen this phone.
However it's nice to see it next to the Pre.

Sprint again?! Come on Palm! Push something torwards at&t or a unlocked gsm pixi but so far i love the way palm is headed with the new phone designs.

What's wrong with Sprint? Sorry, I just had too. I have Sprint and no Pre yet. Still in contract. I feel so out of date....

It's not that its on Sprint, its just i have been hearing the next phone was going to be GSM

Sprint have exclusivity in the US until the end of the year so don't expect to see any WebOS phones on an other carrier until then. If the rumours are true we should see a European launch of the Pre next month

Yep but there were reports of the eos being announced this week. And Sprint has an exclusive on the pre and I guess now the pixi but not the eos even though they appear to look the same. I like the pixi with 8gb as opposed to 4gb eod maybe it will come with 8gb as well.

Got an email from Sprint today announcing the new PIXI. Nice format and all. Still needs and expansion slot. Now the name?!?!?!?!?!?. It is going to be real tough for a guy to tell someone they just bought a new PIXI. Please Palm rethink the name before it hits the market.

Another thing, we all need to forget about the expansion slot. They are a thing of the past on Palm. Soon we will be seeing the 16gb version of WebOS.

I think Pixi and Eos are one and the same so Palm have been true to their word and announced it this week. It's possible that they will use a different name for the GSM version, Eos maybe
